Guy Eugene Benoit

Guy Eugene Benoit, 64, of Fayetteville, OH, passed away on November 15, 2023 in Columbus, OH. Born on July 11, 1959, in Norwich, CT, Guy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Guy was the perfect mix of generosity, selflessness, and compassion. He cherished spending time with his family, especially when he was actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America, taking his sons on camping trips. Guy and his wife, Joan, enjoyed traveling together to stamp conventions, as well as being involved in their business, Simply Stampin'. He was happy when his daughter and her family would go with them to help at their conventions. His grandchildren brought him immense joy, and he loved watching them play and be carefree. Guy's devotion to his family remained unwavering until the very end.

Guy is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Joan Benoit, and their four sons and daughters-in-law: Gregory and Lisa Benoit, Justin and Sarah Benoit, Jamieson and Jessica Benoit, and Garrison and Ashlie Benoit. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gabrielle and Andrew Folke. Guy will be forever remembered by his grandchildren: Nora, Easton, Emee, Lily, Jacob, Baylee, Addy, Jayce, Josie, Adam, Evie, Avery, Emma, Jon, and Henry. Additionally, he is survived by his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Patrick and Cheryl Benoit, Tim and Sandra Benoit, his brother from another mother, Walter Wright, and his wife Tammy Wright, as well as numerous family and friends.

Guy is preceded in death by his father and mother, Louis and Virginia Benoit, daughter Jessica Kupczak, brothers Fred and Michael Benoit, and sister Diana Benoit.

Guy proudly served in the Connecticut Army National Guard from 1979 to 1984. Following his military service, he had various careers, but especially enjoyed his time as an EMT for American Ambulance and a Camp Ranger for the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio.

A celebration of Guy's life will take place on December 3, 2023, from 12 PM until 4 PM at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Florence, KY (7492 Turfway Rd, Florence, KY 41042).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that all charitable donations be made to the American Lung Association.

Guy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his memory forever be a blessing.
