Gretchen K. Borich, 77 of Westerville peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones Monday, December 21, 2015.  This came as the result of numerous health issues she had battles over the past 20+ years.  She is preceded in death by parents John and Ann Starcevich.  No matter the situation or seriousness of the issue, her sheer determination kept her with us more times than we can remember.  There is absolutely no doubt, she has always been our little trooper!! She had the biggest heart of anyone we know and was the most loving, caring mother anyone could ever ask for!  When it came to her children and grandchildren, she was fiercely loyal!! There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them.   It was exactly 1 year ago that we all prayed she would make it to meet her first great-grandchild.  By the grace of God and sheer will, not only did she get to meet him but she actually got to see him walk!  This was truly a miracle!!! She sadly leaves behind many friends and acquaintances.  She is survived by daughters Lynne Hickman and Lori Blatt, son Dennis F. Borich II, granddaughter Kristin Hickman (fiancé Brian Ratliff), grandson Kyle Blatt, and great-grandson Braden Ratliff.  Scripture and prayer service will be held Sunday, 12/27/15 at THE SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOMES CLINTONVILLE CHAPEL, 4341 N High St, Cols. 43214 at 1:30, with Father David E. Gwinner of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Westerville.
