Gerald D. Burgess Sr.

Gerald Dean Burgess, born in Ameagle WV to the late Emil & Hattie Burgess. Passed way on November 22nd, 2024 at the age of 80. He was a wonderful father, brother and husband. He served our country In the Army in 1963 to 1966. After serving he started driving semi-trucks for many years. He retired from UPS, and was a member of the Moose Lodge chapter 1245, and the Eagles club. He enjoyed going out on the weekend to sit with friends at one of the clubs he belonged to. He had touched so many lives over the years. Always made people feel welcomed. He enjoyed having his cookouts with the family and friends. He Was the life of the party. He did remarry years later to Connie (Kunkler) Burgess and gained 2 step-daughters Stephany and Bethany. He is proceeded in death of his parents Emil and Hattie, 5 siblings Oscar, Lester, Denny, Bill, and Delma and his late wife Mildred Burgess, son Robert Burgess and step-daughter Stephany Kunkler and his little buddy CJ. He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years (together for 19 years) Connie Burgess, and son Jerry Jr and daughter Heather Burgess, Step-daughter Bethany (Tom) Sutter, Sisters Deloris (Ann) Burgess and Linda Milam and grandchildren. There will be no services at this time. The family will get together for a private Memorial at a later date.
