Georgia Mae Grimm, 64, of Columbus passed away Jan. 1st, 2017 after fighting numerous health ailments, her pain is now gone.

The family will receive friends at Shaw Davis Funeral Home 4341 North High Street in Columbus on 1/07/2017 at 2:00p. Memorial Service to immediately follow at 3:00p to celebrate her life.

Georgia was born in Columbus to Kathryn and Roy Hammond on December 15, 1952. She went to Whitehall High School where she graduated in 1971. She went on to marry and have 3 beautiful children. She dedicated most of her life to her family's business and meeting the hearing needs of the community in Lima, OH. She was a proud wife, band mom, girl scout leader and mom to many friends and neighbors. She enjoyed spending time with her family and never took that time for granted. She was known for her Sunday morning breakfasts where she would have family meals and where she would make sausage gravy and biscuits for her favorite son. She was all about family. Georgia enjoyed learning stained glass, crocheting and painting among some of her many talents. She wanted to accomplish two major goals in her life and that was to put both of her daughters through college, debt free. With some hard work and help from her beloved husband, she succeed in those goals. She became a grandmother March of 2014 where her family quickly became second to her love for her grandson, Robbie. She loved Robbie more than most and was proud to talk about him to anyone, and we mean anyone, that would listen. She had the gift of gab and could strike up conversations with anyone. She was nurturing, funny and stubborn.

Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, numerous brothers and sisters and some nieces and nephews.

Georgia is survived by husband Bill Grimm, and their pug, Daisy. Son, Todd (Riegle), Daughters: Sarah (Harold Best), Kathryn (David Tenney), Grandson Robbie, and her sisters: Kathy (Foor), Evelyn (Ruth Stahl), Margaret (Schwartz), and twin brother Eddie Hammond.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Kobacker House for their exceptional care, love and support in the final days of Georgia's journey on earth. They exceeded expectations and provided comfort and peace in her final moments and we cannot thank them enough for their support in her final days. Our gratitude is beyond measure.
