George Woods, Jr.

George R Woods, Jr. age 70, born June 17, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to deceased parents, George R and Ann V (Trout) Woods. Preceded in death by sisters Joanne Woods and Jeri Deibel and brother Floyd Williams.

Survived by beloved wife Hiroko Woods; daughter Melissa Y. Mains; son Randall S. Mains; siblings Bob Woods, Jim (Tina) Woods, Mike (Scherry) Woods, Ginny (Frank) Cipriano, Andy (Kim) Woods and Herb (Bob Lewis) Woods; many nieces and nephews

George was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Later, George enjoyed his post retirement job at NetJets in Columbus. Avid OSU Buckeye fan. George will be remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to his wife Hiroko. She was his princess. He also enjoyed Frank Sinatra music, and yes - George did it his way as well. George will be remembered for his passions of both gardening and cooking.  A visitation will be held in his honor at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOMES, 34 West Second Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43201 from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. A committal service will take place at later date in Dayton National Cemetery with military honors.  Condolences online through www.shaw-davis.com
