Frances Marie Thomas was born in Beckley, West Virginia on May 22, 1941 to Mary & David Quesenberry. She is the eldest of eight siblings. She met and married John Mason Thomas on October 31, 1964. Together they had three children; Michael, Donna and Mary.
To know Frances, you knew her love of God. You could always hear her singing praises to the Lord. When family visited, you had to play Yahtzee. She was a stay at home mom and homemaker. Frances could accomplish anything she set her mind to. In her 70’s she published a book of poems, pictures and scriptures that she had written and illustrated. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and loved birds. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver for her family and family members and her smile was absolutely contagious.
Frances is survived by her husband John Mason Thomas, son, Michael Thomas (Gladys), daughter, Donna Jones (David), daughter, Mary Duncan (Alan). Grandchildren: Collin (Lisa), Crystal (Sam), Kendall, Ron (Brittni), Clifford, Chrystyna and Kaitlyn, 5 great-grandchildren. Siblings: Bob Quesenberry, Margaret Barlow, Paulette Scantlan, Leonard Quesenberry, Mack Quesenberry, Glen Quesenberry and Linda Collins, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc. So many loved ones, they can not all be named.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents Mary and David Quesenberry and Grand-daughter, Courtney Marie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations for hospital expenses.
