Faith Anne (Nason) Kersey of Columbus, Ohio, 81, died Saturday morning, December 9, 2017 from complications related to a recent surgery.
Faith was born in Rocky River, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio University, and later earned a Master of Arts in English from The Ohio State University. Faith taught literature and writing at The Ohio State University for over thirty years before retiring, and was beloved by her countless students for her tireless dedication and enthusiasm for her subject.
Faith was also a collector of dolls, doll houses, buttons, and knick-knacks of all sizes. She loved to read, and there was always a murder mystery on her reading table. Faith was a fierce and terrible Scrabble opponent, humbling many lesser players over the years.
Faith is preceded in death by her parents Anna and Peter Nason. She is survived by her son Thomas (Kelly) Kersey, her grandson Carter, her brother Peter (Nina) Nason, her aunt Magret Nason, her ex-husband Joe Kersey, as well as her nieces Karen and Brenda, and nephew Craig.
