Ernest Fredrick Basham

Ernest Fredrick Basham, 65 of Columbus, Ohio passed away on September 25, 2023 peacefully at hospice where he fought a long hard battle of cancer. God has took his pain away and gave him wings to come home. Ernest (Ernie) as we called him, is survived by his wife Tracie Basham of 30 years, his nephews' and niece, Tommy (Linda) Browning, Tim Browning and Tonya Browning. Four of the greatest friends for many years: Green, Pamela, Gene, Tabby and many more family, friends, nieces and nephews. Ernie will truly be missed. His heart was like gold, he would give it away if he had to. He would take the shirt off his back for you. He would stop what he was doing to run everybody who needed him. He made everybody laugh with his jokes that he had for everyone who was around him as soon you would walk through door and last thing out the door. Ernie was a great man. His heart was so full of light and laughter. He is going to be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

A Memorial Service for immediate family and close friends will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 10:00-1030am at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes, 34 W 2nd Ave Columbus, Oh 43201.
