Elmer Oliver Bowen

Elmer gained his Angel wings on Tuesday February 18, 2025 at home in Columbus Ohio  for health complications with His wife and daughters Amber and Stefanie at his side.  Elmer was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.  Elmer was born June 10, 1940 in Ft. Gay West Virginia and moved to Ohio in the 50's, he was painter, he loved to play a guitar and had he own band in his earlier years, he loved  old country music, the 50 and 60's music along with gospel music. He was also a huge fan of Elvis Presley. He moved to Florida and lived till 2000 and moved back to Ohio.  Elmer was proceeded in death, Dad Cliford Bowen Sr, Mom Wilka Copley Brothers Earl Bowen and Clilford Bowen Jr ( JuneBug) and Sister Sue Nonnemacher, Son Jeff Bowen and Daughter Dani Sue Bowen.  Elmer left behind his loving Wife of 41 yrs Tammy Bowen,  Daughters: Amber Bowen ( Matt ), Stefanie Bowen White ( Ken), Cindy Wheeler ( Jim ), Sandy Pankratz,  Sherry Ledesma, Trenda Hazelleaf and Son: Jerry Bowen ( Stacey )  

God saw he was getting tired 

And a cure was not to be, 

So He put His arms around him 

And whispered. "Come with Me."

With tearful eves we watched him suffer

And saw him fade away,

Although we loved him dearly 

We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating

Hard working hands to rest,

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best.
