RADER (Healy)

Elizabeth Jane Rader (Healy), passed away peacefully in her sleep in Los Alamitos, CA on December 21, 2014. Betty was born on August 22, 1917 to John and Nell Healy of Delaware County, Ohio and was raised in the farming community near Bellpoint, Ohio. She married Lawrence Harold Rader on July 10, 1938 and lived her married life in Columbus. She worked many years at the offices of Big Bear Groceries. Betty and Harold had many friends from their years of dancing with the Rhythm Reelers Square Dancers. Following her husband's death in 1996 she moved to Southern California to be near her daughter and family where she was a member of the Leisure World Community Church in Seal Beach, CA. Betty was predeceased by her parents and two sisters Mary Louise Cannon of Florida, and Janet Patricia Jackson of Kentucky. She is survived by her three children, James and his wife, Judith Rader of Houston, TX, Sandy Gallagher of Los Alamitos, CA, and Ron and his wife, Phama of Lake Placid, FL. Betty had seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews. Betty's body will be cremated and her ashes will be interred next to her husband at Oller Cemetery in Delaware County on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:00 am.
