Edward Harnish

Edward Earl Harnish, age 88, of Columbus Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 5, 2019. Edward was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on February 23, 1931. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. After serving in the Army Edward was an Industrial Engineer before settling in Columbus, Ohio where he finished his career at Rite Rug as a store manager. He married Janice Jesse Allen in 1951 and they had three children. In his retirement years Edward was an active member of the United Methodist Church and volunteered his time in the community mostly at the at the United Methodist Free Store. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and was an avid sports enthusiast. He was also a fantastic storyteller.

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Janice and his parents, Edward Harnish Sr. and Kathryn Gladys (Binkley). He is survived by his sister Suzanne (Armer), his children Eric, Sam and Elizabeth (Dunch); daughter in law Melonie (Tippie) and 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
