Dwight D. Stuckey, 91, a 60+ year resident of Clintonville, Ohio, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, peacefully at Kobacker House. Dwight was born to Vaughn and Mildred (Dickman) Stuckey on August 14, 1930, in Sycamore, Ohio. Dwight received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1956. He was Chairman of the Board of Jones-Stuckey Ltd., an engineering consulting firm that he co-founded in 1965. The firm completed 55 projects on the OSU campus over 35 years. Dwight was responsible for more than 350 civil engineering projects in a career that spanned more than fifty years. He received the Outstanding OSU Civil Engineering Alumni Award in 2000. He served as a board-of-directors member of the Ohio Association of Consulting Engineers and was a President of the Engineer Club of Columbus. He was a Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church and an avid OSU Buckeye football fan. Dwight is predeceased by his parents and his sons David (Polly) Stuckey and Darryl Stuckey. Dwight was a devoted and loving husband of 72 years and is survived by his wife Lois (Miller) Stuckey, his son Dean (Elyse) Stuckey, his daughter Denise (Jeff Demas) Kurz, his granddaughters Julie Adkins, Caitlin (Jon) Bonomo, Jamie Stuckey, and Emily Stuckey; his grandsons Ian Stuckey, Kevin (Maranda) Libster, and Coleman Stuckey; his great granddaughters Macie Adkins and Emery Adkins; and his great grandsons Landon Libster, Lincoln Libster, and Kason Stuckey. Private funeral services will be held for the family. A Celebration of Life for the public will be announced at a later date. Dwight is interred at Union Cemetery in Columbus. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation in his name to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
