Dustin Michael Hecker age 30, a resident of Marengo Ohio passed away suddenly in an accident on Co. Rd. 170 in Morrow County on Sunday December 18, 2016. He was born on October 13, 1986 in Marion Ohio to Tracy Stetson-Urbanik of Marengo and Charles Hecker. Dustin graduated class of 2005 from Mount Gilead High School. He had also attended Ohio Dominican University. Dustin loved sports and participated in baseball, wrestling and football. His favorite teams were the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He loved music from an early age and enjoyed both singing and dancing. Dustin used to call the guitar a "deedle-dee-tar." He was called a "lyrical genius" by one of his best friends and producer James Grimmett. Dustin loved cooking and often created his own sauces from scratch. He was employed in the food industry because of his friendly attitude and love of cooking. Dustin had many friends he held dear to his heart, namely Kevin, Andy, Shelly and Jamie. he loved to make people smile, laugh, and he loved a good debate, especially about politics. Dustin is survived by his fiance Corrine Thomas who is currently expecting their first child. Dustin knew love with Corrine and will forever be in her heart. He is also survived by his five year old daughter Nichole Lockheart of Marengo Ohio. Dustin is survived by his siblings, Jessika Beal, Scott Jeffery, Brandon Saum all of Marengo and Brittany Jeffery. He is survived by Maternal grandparents Arol Stetson of Marengo and Mary Michaud of Canada and Paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hecker of Marengo, Ohio as well as several aunts, uncles, neices, nephews and cousins. Dustin will be sadly missed by all those whose lives he touched, far too many to name individually. A Celebration of Life will be held for him at the American Legion Hall in Cardington Ohio on December 29, 2016 from 5-7 pm.. Homer New will be officiating at the Celebration of Life. Friends and family are welcome to attend. Memorial donations can be sent via go fund me account linked to Dustin Hecker or Tracy Urbanik on facebook which was established by his aunt Wendy Stetson of Cardington, Ohio. Flowers can be sent to the Cardington American Legion Hall the day of the service.
