Donna S. (Conner)Halley
Donna Sue (Conner) Halley, a lifelong resident of Delaware, Ohio, passed away November 3, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Donna was born in November 1949. She leaves behind her two beloved children Brooke (Greg) Cain of Marengo, and Kristian Halley of Delaware. She was a proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Randy, Luke and Audrie Cain of Marengo. She was preceded in death by her parents George Norman Conner and Lena Conner Osborne. She is survived by six siblings: Dave (Judy) Conner, Dan (Peggy) Conner (Fl.), Dennis (Vickie) Conner, Dorris (Fred) Herning, Dale (Mariann) Conner (Va.), and Tom (Diana) Conner (Fl.); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Donna grew up in southern Delaware County where she enjoyed days at the Marycrest Farm. She attended Olentangy Schools and graduated in 1967. She was a cheerleader and majorette in the band. After graduation, she married the love of her life, and lived a full life of family, faith, music, dance, and travel. She loved skiing in the Rocky Mountains, swimming at Eckel’s Lake, and visiting the beach in North Carolina. She was a devoted member of St Mary Catholic Church and often found solace and peace there. She worked over 20 years at Dublin Pediatrics sharing her kind, sweet, gentle heart with the families she met. Donna had a unique tenacity for life, was an avid Ohio State football fan and loved the Best Damn Band in the Land! (“O-H”) She was a longtime member of the Delaware Eagles and Moose Lodge. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 20, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the Delaware, Ohio Eagles lodge.
