Donna Jean Spring Falter passed away peacefully at Crown Pointe care center on June 2, 2019. Donna was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harold and Eva Spring. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband Cecil A Clapham, sisters Wanda and Twila, and brothers Harold Jr. and Howard, ex-husband Richard L. Falter and son Danny.
She attended West High School and the Ohio State University before raising 6 children. She then went on to become a manufacturer representative at the Columbus Gift Mart (The Falter Connection) and finally became a real estate agent in the Columbus area. She was awarded memberships in the Columbus Board of Realtors Million Dollar Clubs and 10 Million Dollar Clubs during that career, was a member of the OAR President’s Club, as well as the Columbus Board of Realtors and the National Board of Realtors. She was a parishioner of St. Agatha Catholic Church and was so happy to receive the sacrament of Confirmation in April of 2007.
Donna was active throughout her life with many activities, among them: Christmas Bazaar of Twigs of Children’s Hospital, bowling, golfing as a member of the Ohio State University Golf Club, being a member of the Garden Club of Ohio, and working with the West High Alumni Association. She also volunteered at events at the Columbus Country Club (for the Pro-Am 8 event and more) and at the Muirfield Village Golf Club where, until recent years, she both volunteered and attended every Muirfield Memorial tournament since its inception in 1976.
She is survived by her daughters Deborah (Lynda) and Darla (Jeff) and by sons Doug (Vicki), David and Darryl, daughter-in-law Mimi, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Mom will always be remembered for her love of cooking, sewing and Christmas and the OSU Buckeye football team; her work for the West High Alumni Association; involvement with the Muirfield tournament; her 4th of July parties in Upper Arlington; her great smile and loving her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For Donna the birthday of every one of her children was a great cause for a celebration.
She will be sadly missed by all. We wish to thank the staff at Crown Pointe Care Center for the love and care they provided to mom.
