Donald Coffield

Donald Dean Coffield passed away on May 15, 2018, in Columbus, Ohio, after a short illness.  Don was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Coffield.  He is survived by his sister, Denise Coffield.  Don was born at Lockbourne Air Force Base, on April 20, 1952.  Don was a lifelong Upper Arlington Golden Bear.  He graduated from the Upper Arlington High School, Class of 1971. While at UAHS, he managed the Baseball, Cross Country, Swimming and Track teams.  He served on Student Council.  Don was also a lifelong Ohio State Buckeye.  Don had careers in coaching, radio, communications, insurance claims and singing. Don was bigger-than-life and one-of-a-kind.  He was a friend to all, and touched the heart of everyone he met.  We will never again meet anyone like him.  Don's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 29 at 4:00 p.m., at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 2151 Dorset Road, Upper Arlington.  Immediately after the service, all are invited to go to the Old Bag of Nails at Tremont Center, where we can toast to Don, tell stories and celebrate our friend.  Everyone is invited to attend.
