Don Patrick Bowermaster

March 15, 1942 — July 16, 2023

Don Patrick Bowermaster, DDS was born March 15, 1942, in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Donald and Mary Boling Bowermaster. He passed July 16 at Flint Ridge in Newark, surrounded by family. Shaw-Davis Funeral Home is handling cremation services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Don was a graduate of Taft High School (1960) where he played all sports, but excelled in football and baseball. He earned his DDS from The Ohio State University (1970), and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (1973). He was a member of the Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. In 1997, he was awarded the Achievement Award, for his care of the citizens of Ohio by the ODA and also recognized by the Ohio House of Representatives. In 2000, he was recognized by the ODA for his service to Dentists Concerned for Dentists. He was admitted to the International College of Dentists in 2001. He taught continuing education courses for the ADA and AAOMS and their respective board members, and served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The OSU College of Dentistry. In 2004, he started Rejuvenations Facial Aesthetic Clinic in Newark. He loved his work and patients, and was well-known throughout the Aesthetic Industry for his work. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Byrd Bowermaster (1990), son Derick (Traci) and granddaughter Meredith of Minneapolis, MN, sister-in-law Sally Bowermaster, mother/father-inlaw John and June Byrd, sisters-in-law Lisa (Scott) Olmstead and Leslie (Bobbie) Barrett. Nieces and nephews Wendy, Jenny (Steve), Olmy (Laura), Melanie (Andrew), Emily, Jordan (Faith), Janie, and Justice; great nieces and nephews Kate (Chris), Russell, Abigail, Mason, Bentley, Sydney, Rory, Danny and 2 more to be born late 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dr. Russell Bowermaster, his son Brad, many aunts and uncles, and his labradors Mona and Lilly. The family would like to thank Mt. Carmel East, Select Hospital, Flint Ridge, Drs.Tewolde, Campbell, and Oshiokpekhai, and so many nurses and aides for their wonderful care.
