Diane M. Greer (née Hildebrand), age 70 of Columbus, Ohio was called home by the Lord Wednesday, August 9th after a long, brave, courageous, and dauntless fight against lung and endometrial cancer. First diagnosed with cancer in 2003 she underwent surgery only to have it return in her lungs in 2009. For 3,050 days (8+ years) she never yielded her will to live and even maintained her sense of humor. The last month she made it clear she was ready for her family reunion upstairs in the heavens. She is preceded in death by her brother Gil Hildebrand; parents Kenneth G. and Dorothea R. Hildebrand. Survived by her son Phil Greer; ex-husband and dear friend Larry Greer; nephew Gil Hildebrand II; thought of niece Heidi Dove; immediate cousin Mary Anne Akre and many other family and friends. Diane enjoyed ceramics, interior decorating, arts and crafts, gardening, games, and working in the yard, but being a mom was most important to her.
To those reading:
This woman was one of the most remarkable human beings who lived right and tried to do right by others. She was the strongest and most courageous individual I know and the void from this loss will be unfillable. She will forever be my Bud.
I love you Mom.
