Delores Sanders

Delores Ann (Josuns) Sanders, age 81, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Willow Brook Christian Home in Delaware, Ohio. Delores J. Sanders was surrounded by loving family and friends who were touched by having such a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Delores was born on November 25, 1937, in Reed City, Michigan, to the late Herman and Pearl Josuns. She was a graduate of Capital University and Michigan State University. She retired after teaching for 30 years with Columbus Public Schools and in Lansing Michigan Schools.

Delores was an active member of Clinton Heights Lutheran Church, Alpha Delta Kappa, Living Christ Lutheran Church’s Bible study and luncheon groups, and various other community and volunteer organizations. Delores and her husband, Curt (deceased), enjoyed babysitting for many years for their two grandchildren.

Delores is survived by her two sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeff (Beth) Sanders of Marysville, Steve (Robin) Sanders of Blacklick; her grandchildren, Melissa and David of Marysville; beloved sister, Clarice (Jim) Dulaney of Houston, Texas; beloved brother, Dave (Karen) of Portage, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Paul, Mark, Natalie.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday January 26, 2019 at Clinton Heights Lutheran Church, 15 Clinton Heights Ave., Columbus, OH 43202.
