Deanna Lee Johnson

Deanna Lee Johnson (Dee), age 80 was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 26, 1944, to Jerol G. Osman and Betty M. Osman and passed away peacefully of Alzheimer's Disease under Gentiva Hospice Care on January 17, 2025, in Gahanna, Ohio. She graduated from West High School in 1962 and married her high school sweetheart Robert (Bob) Johnson shortly after. 

She was the youngest daughter of the Jerol G and Betty M. Osman. She is survived by her older sister Rosemary Douglas, her oldest daughter Lori (Marty)Milligan, and her twins Robert (Rebecca) Johnson, Robin (Don) Harrell, her granddaughters Christy, Tamara, Terrilynn, Nichole, and Alexis, and grandsons, Robert III, Chris, Richard and Steven and many great grandchildren. Special high school and lifelong friend Mary Anderson. Many friends at Otterbein Senior Living - Gahanna where she lived, as well as many other dear family and friends. 

Deanna had several jobs throughout her life, her proudest tenure was following in the footsteps of her father at the Ohio Department of Corrections beginning at the Old Ohio State Penitentiary in Columbus, Ohio and retiring from Orient Correctional Facility after 14 years of service. 

Deanna was a kind, caring woman who loved her children and family dearly. There will not be a funeral service as she will be cremated.

If roses grow in Heaven, 

Lord Please pick a bunch for us.

Place them in our Mother's arms

And tell her they're from us.

Tell her that we love and miss her,

And when she turns to smile,

Place a kiss upon her cheek,

And hold her for awhile.

Because remembering her is easy,

We do it every day, 

But there's an ache within our hearts

That will NEVER go away.
