David Michael Nahra, 51 of Columbus, OH passed away June 28, 2016. He was born on November 25, 1964 in Gary, Indiana, grew up in Schererville, Indiana, and retired in Columbus, OH. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Education Biology and Chemistry from New Mexico State University and his Master’s degree in Microbiology from Ohio State University. Prior to his retirement he was a devoted teacher at Bishop Rosecrans High School and Zanesville High School. He was a loving father, son, and brother. David was devoted to his son, Daniel, and enjoyed attending Rush concerts, White Sox games, and going to Disney World. The Lord called him home after his many years of living with chronic illness.
He is survived by his son Daniel of Nashport, OH; his loving parents John and Judy of Tulsa, OK; his favorite sisters Diana Walker of San Antonio, TX, Dr. Marsha Nahra (Dr. Joseph Lynch), Karen Johnson of Tulsa, OK, and Kathy Nahra Jesse (Phil Jesse) of Albuquerque, NM; and his many nieces and nephews.
A visitation and memorial service will be held Thursday, July 7 from 5-7pm at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home 34 West 2nd Ave. Columbus, OH. Please wear your favorite Rush t-shirt!
