David Alden Haynesworth

David Alden Haynesworth was born in Columbus, OH on March 2, 1961 and transcended into eternal life on August 20, 2024 at the age of 63 after a glorious earthly journey.

David was the third son to Collins and Juanita Haynesworth. He was a 1979 graduate of Linden McKinley High School where he participated on the tennis team. His childhood was not lacking for friendship as just about everyone was drawn to his personality. “Blood”, as he was affectionately called, had a easy spirit. David’s first job after high school was as a beginning mechanic at Joe Lyman Chevrolet in Marysville, OH. Later employment included: Sears Distribution Center, Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA), Thrive, and was proprietor of his own DH Keyturn LLC. David had a brilliant mechanical mind and was always taking things apart and reassembling them and became the neighborhood go-to auto mechanic and all-around fix-it man. A really good guy who was fair and helpful to all. A dog lover.

David met and became enamored with Janessa Bester in 1993 and they were wed in 1997. David was a avid fisherman and an excellent cook, activities and skills that he and his wife Janessa shared. Fishing excursions to Fremont, OH and Delaware State Park were mainstays on their itinerary and often included the kids, friends, and in-laws. Their home was often the family gathering place during holidays.

David is predeceased by his parents Collins and Juanita Haynesworth; his in-laws Sam Bester Jr. and Vondelere “Pookie” Lawson; and brother-in-law Russell Price.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife Janessa; brothers Collins Jr. “Linnie”, and Greg; sister Jan; daughters Tiara Lynn, and Tanasia; son Dalin; granddaughters Ladaiya, Denyla, and Kaleah Iman; brother-in-law Sean. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, co-workers and acquaintances as well as special friends Cliff Belmer, Paul Dean, Lajuana Brooks, and Pastor Mitchell Ellison.
