Darrel Rutherford

Darrel R. Rutherford (aka the man with 9 lives) of Columbus, Ohio, after a three year battle with idiopathic pulminary fibrosis and COPD, passed away on Saturday April 20th 2019 at the age of 74.

He was born November 4, 1944 in St Charles, VA. He attended Mt Healthy High School and in post-graduate work went on to receive a Bachelor, Masters, and PHD in Education.

Darrel will be remembered for many near-death health experiences, his love of cars and his willingness to share his knowledge to help others to grow or become self-sustaining. His financial gifts were shared by many of his friends and relatives.

He is survived by his brothers Wayne and Bob Rutherford;  sister-in-law Jeanne (Hess) Rutherford: niece Rachel Rutherford, nephew Dave Rutherford and wife Kelly Zander, nephew Jamie and Eric Rutherford; neice Gina and Carrie Rutherford.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held:

Service 2:30 – 3:00 pm
