Dale Bowens, born October 17th 1950, passed away on November 10th at home surrounded by loved ones. He had a kind and gentle soul that radiated warmth. He was an avid reader and a great cook. He enjoyed nature and appreciated the whole spectrum from busy bees and graceful “flutterbys” to mighty oak trees and vast oceans, but what he cherished above all else was family and the time spent with them. He often spoke fondly of life growing up in the hills with his brothers and sisters. He was lavish with affection for those he loved. He fought bravely for our country as a young man, but he despised violence for the rest of his days. The legacy he left is one of love. He was preceded in death by mother Thelma Irene Bowen, father Jerry Bowen, and sister Patricia Ann Lewis. He is survived by son Lee Bowens (Krista) Tyler, Ashton, Makayla, Triston, Lucas, and Kamille, and daughter Gretchen Hoberty (Shawn) Ingrid Daelyn Hoberty, siblings Ronnie Capaniro (Sue), Jerry Bowen (Joanna), Jack Bowen, Linda Causey (Enoch), and David Bowen (Deb) and their children, his treasured nieces and nephews.
