Chris Tsitouris

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Chris Tsitouris announce his passing on January 12th, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Anne Kirchner Tsitouris. He passed away at the age of 80 in Columbus, Ohio.

Born on September 23, 1944 to Helen and Gus Tsitouris, Chris was a lifelong Buckeye who grew up in Bexley, Ohio, where he later raised his own family. He attended Bexley High School class of 1962, where he captained both the football and baseball teams and made friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Chris is survived by his three children, Chris Tsitouris Jr. (Nicole), Alexander K. Tsitouris (Cara), and Katherine A. Tsitouris; and five grandchildren, Jackson, Cameron, Grace, Nicholas, and Weston.

He earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and law degree from the Brandeis School of Law in Louisville, Kentucky. It was there where he met Anne, the love of his life and devoted wife of 48 years. Chris built a distinguished career as an attorney in Columbus, owning his law firm for over 40 years. An attorney specializing in insurance defense, he was a respected member of Columbus’ legal community. He was a former member of the Columbus Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and the Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association.

Chris was devoted to his family and found immense joy in traveling to St. Bart’s with dear friends and spending time with family on Anna Maria Island. His home was always a place of laughter and celebration, particularly when he hosted friends for his annual Bexley 4th of July parade gathering. Saturdays were sacred for watching the Buckeyes, and he never missed a chance to cheer on the Yankees.

Chris was deeply grateful for Dr. Larry Copeland’s care and dedication during Anne’s battle with ovarian cancer. In his honor, memorial contributions may be made to the Larry J.
