Chong Pok Leong (Andy)

Chong Pok Leong (Andy), 59 years young, residing in Columbus, OH for the past 25 years, passed away early morning Monday November 09, 2020. He was born on April 18, 1961 in Taiping, Malaysia to parents Chong Kee Sung and Lee Kam Yoong. Andy was born with a generous humble heart, he opened up his home to every person that crossed paths with him and offered a seat at the table. His approach to life was to keep things simple and always be happy and healthy. He was a hard working family man who provided everything his family needed and more. What he enjoyed most in life was spending his free time fishing, traveling and most importantly spending time with his family creating memories to last a lifetime.

Daddy had tremendous love for everyone. He always loved it when family and friends from all over the world came to visit, he would do his best to make them feel at home and create memories. Daddy showed by example through his life the meaning of not giving up when things became hard, not giving up hope when hope seemed so small, and not throwing away something without doing all you can to fix it - whether it was an old lawn mower or problems in life. Daddy - everyone love and miss you dearly. Mom and I feel a big void without you by our side, but one day we shall have our reunion. Our love for you will be forever.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents Chong Kee Sung and Lee Kam Yoong. He is survived by his loving wife Ong Beng Suan (Jude) and daughter Chong Jo Yuen (Jora). Sisters: Chong Ah Yoke, Cheng Siew Chan, Chong Swee Imm, Brothers: Chong Pok Kai, Chong Kok Hoy, Sister: Chong Swee Mun, and Brother: Chong Pok Wah. In-law Siblings: Ong Swee Keok, Foong Kim Hwa, Ong Ah Lay, Ong Swee Kee, Ong Kar Huat, Ong Swee Hong, Ong Swee Tuan. 18 Nieces and 21 Nephews. Lastly by Grandpuppy Deacon Paige.

Services in his honor will be held on November 17, 2020 at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N High St., Columbus, OH 43214. The family will be holding visitation for guests from 4 pm to 7 pm.
