Charles Ellsworth Palmateer III

On September 5, 2022 Charles Ellsworth Palmateer III age 64, passed away peacefully at his home in Columbus, Ohio. Chuck was born on October 8, 1957 in Poughkeepsie,  New York. A native of Hughsonville, NY, Chuck had an associate degree in Computer Science from Marist College. Chuck was known for his practical jokes and warped sense of humor. His passion was playing the guitar and his dog Otis.

  He is survived by his girlfriend Patty Hopping of Columbus, OH, four sisters Catherine Roule (Robert) of Denham Springs, LA,  Susan Spinner (Dean) of North Hero, VT, Cynthia Sumner (Ken) of Wappingers Falls, NY,  and Margie Vail (Mike) of Cortland, NY. Also survived by three brothers,  Gary Palmateer (Lora) of Highland, NY, Chris Palmateer (Becky) of Hudson Falls, NY, and Michael Palmateer of Glens Falls, NY.  He also left behind numerous Aunts, Uncles, nephews,  nieces, and cousins.

  Chuck was preceeded in death by the love of his life, wife Karen, parents Charles and Marjorie Palmateer,  brother Sgt. Mark Palmateer,  and his dog of 16 years Fred.

  Internment will be in the New Hurley Reformed Church Cemetery in New Hurley, New York. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
