Charles McCormick Jr.

Charles E. McCormick Jr., age 60, of Mount Vernon, Ohio passed away June 3, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born in Madison, WV on December 7, 1958 to Barbara J. Hogge and Charles E McCormick Sr.

He graduated from Fredericktown, OH in 1978. Upon graduation he joined the United States Army. He completed 4 years of service to our country. Upon returning from Germany, he moved to Ft. Riley, Kansas. He became involved in Motocross racing. Chuck was a very good racer and had won multiple trophies. In May of 1986, he was involved in a traumatic motorcycle accident that changed his life forever. Chuck was a collector of eagles and a Reba McEntire fan. If you knew Chuck, he didn’t know a stranger. He loved to tell stories, jokes, and he had the heart of a kid.

Chuck is survived by his father Charles, siblings Renotta (Kevin) Oliver, Jim (Teresa) McCormick, Susan (Charles) Green, and Anita (Leon) Kirby, numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom Barbara J Hogge and stepdad Richard Colin.
