Charles Kottcamp

Charles “Chuck” Quentin Kottcamp, age 73, of Columbus, Ohio passed away Monday, August 31st, 2015. He was born March 9, 1942 in Carter County, Kentucky. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960-1964 and earned the M-1 Rifle Sharpshooter Badge and 45 Pistol Marksman Badge. After his service, he was a long-time general contractor specializing in siding installation. He is survived by children Natalie (Christopher) Brown, Quentin Van Cleef, Sonya (Christopher) Reed, and Nicole Kottcamp; granddaughters Chelsea, Celestial, Ashleigh, Bailey and Hazel; his brother William (Sylvia) Kottcamp; sister Geneva (Richard) McBride; and the mothers of his children Sue Wendell and Treesa Jones. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph (Elsie) Kottcamp and mother Elsie (Frank) Koza. Chuck enjoyed reading, gardening, the outdoors, rock and roll and pets, leaving behind his dog Peanut. Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes have arranged for services to be held Saturday, September 5 at 11:30am at Obetz Christian Cemetery. Chuck asked that flowers sent in his name be live “so you can take them home and watch them grow.”
