Charles David Eeles

EELES, Charles David, 81, “walked into the forest” on his birthday, 25 January 2025.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, to Charles Cooper Eeles and Lois Stringfellow Eeles of Findlay, Ohio, he was a man of many interests, among them stamp and coin research and collecting. He authored the book The Liberty Series with Ken Lawrence and Anthony S. Wawrukiewicz in 2007. He was also an avid Egyptologist. During his employment at Ohio State University, he mentored numerous students from Middle Eastern countries and visited their homelands on various occasions. He attended Upper Arlington High School and spent his senior year in Chappaqua, New York, where he graduated before returning to Columbus to attend Ohio State University.

Dave’s sister, Sarah Elizabeth Eeles of Richmond, California, requests that memorials be made to a charity of your choice. Shaw-Davis Funeral Home is handling final details. No service is planned.
