Caselyn Elizabeth Canter

Caselyn (Casey) Elizabeth Canter, 31, of Chillicothe, OH, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with complications due to renal failure, following a lifelong struggle with diabetes. She was born on September 10, 1993, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH, to Nicole Newland and Jon Canter.

Casey is survived by her beloved son, Greyson Kepler; her parents, Erin and Jon Canter; her sisters, Caitlin (Josh) Knoll and Courtney Park; her grandparents, Lynn (Barney) Senff, Bobbie Duffy, Jill Newland, and Linda Beaver; and her aunts, Beth (Jason) LeMaster, Lisa (Bob) Large, and Susan Canter. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nicole Newland, and her grandfathers, Roger Newland and John E. Canter.

Casey was known for her love, affection, care, and pride in raising her son, Greyson. She had a deep love for all animals, especially her pets Leo and Luna. Casey was always there for her many nieces and nephews, supporting them in their activities, and held a very close and special relationship with her sisters. She also cherished her lifelong friendship with Teresa Yates, who was a constant source of support and joy in her life.

She will be remembered for her love of the color pink, her passion for music, art, and reading, her unwavering support for anyone in need, her selflessness in putting others before herself, and her remarkable ability to speak her mind.
