Candace Susan Podger McChesney passed away suddenly on June 29th, 2019. Candace was born on March 30th, 1958 in Syracuse, New York. Candace had a lifelong passion and skill for all things art. She was a professional photographer for many years. She loved arts and crafts, and constantly surprised and wondered those around her with her amazing art and creativity.
Whatever room Candace was in, her personality shined brightest. She was quick to let you know what she thought, and exactly what you needed to hear. She was incredibly generous. She always gave to her family, friends, and complete strangers whatever she could whenever she could. She was incredibly charitable, giving blood at least 393 times, saving many lives.
She loved her friends, family, and especially her cats. She will be missed by all the people she met. She will inspire and better them forever. Candace is survived by her husband Ronald McChesney. They met at Mardi Gras in 1984. They have two sons, Charlie and Alex. Candace also has a granddaughter named Nora. She is also survived by her four sisters Donna Podger-Harris, Debbie Podger, Dee Dee Podger, and Florrie Podger. She is also survived by her father Kenneth Podger, and mother Clara Podger, and countless extended family. All will miss her one of a kind never to be replaced spirit.
Candace is being cremated. She will have a memorial service on Wednesday July 10th, 2019 at the Lashutka Event Center 3329 Riverside Dr, Columbus, OH 43221. We will have food and drinks at 6:30 PM, followed by a one hour memorial to celebrate her life and share our experiences from 7:30-8:30 PM.
