Caleb Lynn Fulknier 1998 - 2024 Caleb Lynn Fulknier, 26, passed away suddenly on September 11 at his home in Gahanna, Ohio, after courageously battling complications of kidney disease for the last few months.
He was born on July 10, 1998, in Columbus. He was predeceased by his mother, Christina Savon (2019), maternal grandfather Jesse Land, great-uncle Jim Land, and cousin Gregory Land. Caleb was a 2017 graduate of Sheridan High School in Thornville. He worked in retail positions in food service, grocery, and landscaping supply companies, and was a certified forklift operator.
As a self-proclaimed food connoisseur, Caleb loved to cook (especially with his mother) and became the “baker extraordinaire” in his family. Many of his specialty dishes were from Italian recipes given to him by his step-grandmother, Pat Savon. Caleb had a varied interest in sports and was an avid fan of the Colts, and Mets, wearing their colors and cheering for his teams with much passion and enthusiasm. He also loved fishing with his Grandpa Lynn Morris, and golfing with his dad, brother, and Grandpa John Fulknier. A lover of all genres of music, Caleb enjoyed singing along with his car radio and driving with the windows down whenever possible. He loved hanging out with his family and good friends. Eagerly playing video games with friends or by himself filled any spare time he had.
Several cats and dogs have graced Caleb’s life throughout the years, but his Beagle, Lucy, and cat named Jack-Jack were special. He loved giving attention to all of them and found much humor and comfort in some of their antics.
Caleb’s sunny disposition and infectious laughter will be greatly missed by his father and stepmother, Christopher & Tina Fulknier of Chillicothe, brother Sam Fulknier of Ashville, sister Annalee Severance (Shylowe) of Roseville, step-father John Savon of Glenmont, and step-sisters Mary Kneice of Chillicothe and Megan Reeves of Supply, NC. He was much adored by grandparents Lynn & Marsha Morris of Gahanna, John Fulknier of Chillicothe, step-grandmother Sandy Kingry of Grove City, and step-grandmother Pat Savon of Lowellville, aunts Adrienne (Mike) Rife of Thornville, and Rebecca (Jeremyn) Morris of Oakland, CA. Also mourning his loss are many cousins and great aunts and uncles.
A memorial service for Caleb will be held on Wednesday, September 18, at 5:00 p.m., at Havens Corners Church, 6696 Havens Corners Road, Blacklick, Ohio.
