Byron Emilio Bacigalupo

Byron Emilio Bacigalupo, 64, passed away at home surrounded by family on December 11, 2022 in Westerville, Ohio. He was born on May, 27^th, 1958 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. His family included his parents Luis Rafael Bacigalupo and Serena Bolivia Alava Alcivar, and siblings Luis Rafael, Freddy, Franklin, Italo, Angelo Bacigalupo Alava and Janet, Maria Auxiliadora, Lourdes, Ginger, Giomar, and Sabrina Bacigalupo Alava. He married his wife Grecia Bacigalupo on April 2, 1979 in Manta, Ecuador. Byron’s hobbies included traveling, flying to Ecuador, road trips to NYC, spring break in Florida, working on cars, swimming, walking his dog, and going to his grandkid’s dances and sports events.

Byron is survived by his wife Grecia Narcisa Bacigalupo, children: Lourdes Pierina Bacigalupo-High (Lawrence Bacigalupo-High), Byron Emilio Bacigalupo Jr. (Giselle Bacigalupo Vila), Giannina Mariana Banks (Eddie Banks), grandchildren: Gianni Valentino Bacigalupo-High, Rocco Battista Bacigalupo-High, Luna Larianna Bacigalupo-High, Emilio Yadel Bacigalupo, Gianluca Emilio Bacigalupo, Valentina Amalia Bacigalupo, Milo Santino Banks, and Carmela Mara Banks, parents: Luis Rafael Bacigalupo and Serena Bolivia Alava Alcivar, in-laws: Gloria Santana, Mauricio Santana, Alfonso Rojas, and all his many nieces, nephews, and God children. He is also survived by his friends: Aida Cedeno, Ruben Medranda, Javier Cedeno, Franklin Verduga, Geoconda Gomez, Franklin & Olga Gomez, and Maria Escobar. Special mention to his beloved nephew Gustavo Quintero and a beloved pet (man’s best friend) Nino Bacigalupo.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday December 17th, 2022 from 12- 2pm at the Shaw-Davis Short North Chapel, 34 West 2^nd Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43201. Father David Gwinner from the St. Paul Apostle Church will be leading the service.
