Brian Petley

Brian Morris Petley, 62, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 from ongoing health issues.  He passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones.

Brian was born on August 25, 1958 in Fitchburg, MA to Earl Vincent Petley and Susan Marion Petley (both deceased).

He was a loving husband for 37 years to Jacqueline Lee Petley.

He was honored to call these 8 children his own:  Brian Besaw of CO, Jennifer Vernon (Andrew Vernon) of MA, Francis Raux of OH, Brandon Petley (Tracie Petley) of MA, Meaghan Raux of MA, Ashley Jewell (Anthony Jewell) of OH, Bonnie Madden (Terry Madden Jr.) of OH, and Ryan Petley (Ashley Petley) of OH.

Brian was blessed with 16 grandchildren. In order from oldest to youngest: Jacob, Aiden, Austin, Nickolas, Annabelle, Addison, Ethan, Chase, Dylan, Bryan, Karma, Nora, Joshua, Alijah, Landon, and Connor.

Brian had one brother: Earl Ross Petley (Jeannette Petley) of Canada and four sisters: Gayle Mirabito (Salvitore Marabito) of NY, both deceased, Susan Moschner (Norman Moschner, deceased) of MA, Linda Ptak (Francis Ptak) of MA, and Judith Petley of MA, deceased.  He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Brian was a generous man, who enjoyed the simple things in life. He cared for his community, and was fond of talking with his neighbors. He appreciated listening to country music on the radio in his garage. Brian took joy in reminiscing about the good old days. He adored keeping track and reminding his family of memorable dates.

Funeral service to be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Services will be conducted by Pastor Ed Akers. To be held at Victorious Living Church, 2996 Columbus St. Grove City, OH 43123. Visitation is from 11a.m. – noon, with a celebration of life service to follow.
