Billie Dean Shipley, 88, of Columbus, Ohio, died April 26, 2019
surrounded by family.
Bill was born in Edgar, Nebraska, the son of the late Clyde and
Faye Shipley, lived in various cities of the San Fernando Valley,
CA from 1937 until 2003 when he and his wife moved to
Columbus, OH.
He served in the United States Navy as a Fireman during the
Korean War and was honorably discharged in May 1954. He
worked as a machinist and an inspector for Teledyne/Litton
Industries. He retired in 1995.
Mr. Shipley was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge
3000 General Assembly and Legion #174; past Governor of the
Canoga Park Lodge. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, telling jokes
and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara (Bobbi), son and
daughter-in-law, Steven and Stacey Shipley; daughter and son-in
law, Judy and Harley Goodwin; son and daughter-in-law, Michael
and Lisa Collins; son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Kimberly
Shipley, sister Doris Louthan, numerous grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. Mr. Shipley was preceded in death by his
son Bobby Shipley and daughter Robyn Weston.
