Betty Jane Scibbe, nee Nabinger, was born on July 17, 1927 to Arthur and Frances. She was married to Robert Scibbe on February 22, 1947. Betty taught kindergarten for 25 years at Messiah Lutheran School in Fairview Park, Ohio, where she started hundreds of children on their road to education. Betty received an award for teacher of year in that city. Betty and Bob retired to Fort Myers, Florida, where they pursued many hobbies and charitable activities, including SCUBA diving, helping to feed the hungry and reading to the blind on the local public radio station.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Gooding, Wendy Klauss, (Albert) and Susan Hughes (Donald); her two brothers, Arthur Nabinger, II (Jacquie), David Nabinger, (Jean) and a sister, Nancy Kearns (Harry) ; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She loved her churches and her community. She will be greatly missed by her family and many, many friends.
