Betty May Bradley age 92 of Columbus Ohio died peacefully on Wednesday February 19th 2025 at the sanctuary at Tuttle crossing surrounded by loved ones.
Betty was born in Sumner Iowa December 1932 to parents Mildred and Hollis Hunt Betty had a wonderful life in Iowa and remained attached to her home state throughout her life through her love of Iowa football basketball and the Chicago Cubs. After receiving her bachelor's degree in psychology from Coe College Betty received an offer to attend the Ohio State University where she received her master's degree in clinical psychology.
Betty went to work at CDC in 1956 as a clinical psychologist conducting research and eventually publishing a book she continued to work until retiring in 1995. She worked in private practice at Overbrook until retiring at age 90 figuring that that was a good age to retire.
Betty met her future husband Ray Bradley through her time at Ohio State and they were married in April 1962. They resided in Clintonville and raised their daughter Teresa in the same area where Betty remained throughout her life.
Hiking, traveling and collecting were some of Betty's interests that she maintained throughout her busy life she was a member of the Ohio hiking club where she was an active hike leader in the club historian. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and family having visited all 50 states throughout her life. She was an avid stamp and postcard collector having amassed impressive collections of both.
Betty is survived by her daughter Teresa Bradley Taylor of Westminster Maryland grandsons Ryan Taylor of New York City and Kevin Taylor of Fishersville Virginia.
Betty is pre deceased by her parents Mildred Wilkins Hunt and Hollis N Hunt Husband Raymond p Bradley 1995 son-in-law Nicholas v Taylor 2016.
