Betsie Gingrich-Coppola

Betsie Akins Gingrich Coppola, 57, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2016. She was born on April 6, 1959 in Mansfield, OH. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rita Akins and father, Stuart Akins.  She is survived by husband Dan Coppola, sister Shellie Batton, daughters Sarah Akins, Brianna (Joe) Holland, Faith (Jeremy) Spencer and Clara Martin. She is also survived by grandchildren Brenden, Brady, Aiden, Mackenzie, Abigail, Casey, Parker and Magnolia as well as cousin Cathie Toops and aunt Donna Todd. A gifted artist, Betsie loved the arts and music and attended Columbus College of Arts and Design. She was a member of AA for many years and was proud of her 12 years of sobriety. She loved animals and had many special pets throughout her life. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October  27th from 4 – 6p.m. at Shaw Davis Funeral Home, 4341 N. High Street, Columbus, OH  43214. A memorial service will be held immediately after officiated by Dr. Deborah Lindsay.

She will be deeply missed by the family and friends that she loved so much. All those who loved her are thankful that she is no longer in pain. “You may be gone from my sight, but you will always be in my heart”
