Benjamin Richard Allen Compo, age 26, died October 7, 2017. Born December 1, 1990 in Columbus, GA to parents Matthew and Brenda (McElwee) Compo. Preceded in death by his mother Brenda (McElwee) Compo. Survived by sisters Trista Dawn Compo, Crystal Leigh Compo, and Morgan Taylor Hammond; nieces Brenda Leigh Slomovitz and Callie Elizabeth Hammond. Benjamin was a former Marine. after his service he worked for FedEx until the time of his passing.
Ben, the world is a lot darker now that you’re gone. You were so loved and we hope you knew that. We would give anything to have you for one more day. Even in this tragedy there was some light; the Lifeline of Ohio was able to find homes for all of Ben's organs, retinas, and tissue. Ben will be giving life and quality of life to almost 60 people.
