Arthur M Parker Jr. (aka Art) 73 passed away on December 10, 2023 at Tuscany Gardens in Pataskala on Hospice care . He was a beloved father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Arthur was born April 30, 1950 in Columbus Ohio. Graduated from Reynoldsburg High School. Worked at Lazarus Department Stores for 44 years and was on The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Mounted Unit for several years. Retired and worked on his farm that he loved so much.
But more than anything, Art was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his children, Artie and Christina. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement no matter what challenges they faced. Art had two grandchildren Gavin and Gracelyn Wood that he loved so much his eyes would light up as soon as they pulled into the driveway. He was involved in 4-H and was on the Hartford Fair board you could always find him in the Hog or Horse barn or playing pranks on his friends in the campgrounds. Art also enjoyed his horses, he had horses his entire life, fishing, being outside working around the farm. He loved sitting in the front yard for hours talking to neighbors/friends and listening to the kids play next door.
Arthur is survived by his former wife, Maureen Persinger. Arthur leaves behind his loving Daughter Christina Wood, (Brad son in law), Gavin and Gracelyn (grandchildren). Loving and caring Sisters; Becky Boltz, (Danny Boltz brother-in-law) and Shirley Franks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bonnie Parker, and Son Arthur M Parker III. (aka Artie)
As per Arthur's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
