Ann Elizabeth Christopher, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away after a brief illness on April 9, 2016. Ann was born July 11, 1947 to Anthony and Ruth Christopher in Conneaut, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents. She is survived by her siblings, John Christopher, Laura (Michael) Laughlin, Julie (James) Gibb, and Jack (Laura) Christopher; nieces, Emily (Gerald) Hazzard, and Molly (Kevin) Keller; 3 great nephews and 1 great niece. Ann earned her undergraduate degree from Wright State University and her Master’s from The Ohio State University. She was retired from the Franklin County MRDD program. She also served as a member of the ODDC, was on the board of directors for Goodwill, was a founding member and on the board for the Center for Disability Empowerment, and was a member of the Columbus Advisory Council on Disability Issues. Services will be held at Shaw-Davis, Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N. High Street on Saturday, April 16, at 11am. Family will receive friends an hour prior. Ann was a champion advocate for disability issues and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mid-Ohio Food Pantry.
