Alvin Brooks

With great sorrow we regretfully announce the passing of Alvin "Tony" Anthony Brooks on Thursday, July 8, 2021. Born April 5, 1957.

Tony worked in the trucking industry for over 20 years and had a passion for trucking. He received numerous awards, including the American Truck Driving Championship Excellence Award in Dallas, Texas.

Tony's other interests included hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was the tender loving husband to Ilene Clayton Brooks, a wonderful father to Kelly and Adam Brooks, and a proud grandfather to Douglas Edward Brooks.

He also leaves behind his loving mother Helen Ford, and cherished siblings Tim and his wife Nell, Hallie, Chris and Jennie, additionally, a step-son Jessie Dick..   He was preceded in death by his father Alvin Noble Brooks Jr.

Tony's personality was larger than life and will leave behind a void that can't be filled.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held in Charlottesville, Virginia on July 31, 2021.

The Memorial service will be held at 11am.
