Alice Marie Wilson Fruth, age 99, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018, surrounded by family. She was born June 18th, 1919 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Grace and Clyde Wilson. She earned two Bachelor degrees in Liberal Arts and Library Science from McCallister College. Alice retired after working as a librarian at Grandview Public Library and then enjoyed a second career as a real estate agent at Century 21. She also worked at Weight Watchers and volunteered at AmeriFlora, Picnic with the Pops and with many TWIG fundraisers. She loved to make quilts, gardening and was a honorary life member of the Columbus Rock and Mineral Society. She was a member of North Broadway United Methodist Church.
Left to honor Alice and remember her love are daughter Cynthia, sons William, David (Rae) and Robert (Tina), grandchildren Sara, Ryan, Randal, and Roxana, great grandchildren Marayah, Brendon, Abigail, Jayden, JaMarion, Micah, Gracie, Jillianna, Raegan, Harrison, Elliot and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, brother Howard, husband George, and daughter Nancy.
Viewing will be held on Friday, November 23rd at 9:00 am and the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am at Shaw Davis Funeral Home, 4341 North High St. The family is asking for donations to Columbus Rock and Mineral Society, P.O. Box 163984, Columbus, OH 43216 in lieu of flowers.
