Alfred C Barksdale

Alfred C. Barksdale, age 70, sunrise April 9th, 1953 and sunset January 23rd, 2024, peacefully transitioned after bravely battling cancer. Preceded in death by his parents Rebecca "Louise" Ferguson and Raymond Barksdale. Survived by children Nakue Willis, Devan Williams, LaShawn Melton, Chelsea Laird, Jaquay Hutchinson, Makayla Barksdale, and step-child Christian Tewell. Thirty-three beloved grandchildren; partner Savanna Trickett; sister, Wilma Barksdale; niece, Shadae Barksdale; nephews, Jerry Barksdale and Andre Washington; cherished cousin, Faye Boyd, followed by many, many more; and best friends Paul and Saundra Vinson. Alfred made sure everyone in the room kept a smile and was always the life of the party. Family and friends will be received from 4-6pm, Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Home located at 4341 North High Street Columbus, Ohio 43214.
