Aleta Jean “Pete” Hoover passed away October 3rd at the age of 87. She was born February 15, 1930 in Columbus to Goldie (Stalnaker) and Joe Claude Burns who preceded her in death as did her brother Robert and her husband George Burton Hoover.
Pete graduated from North High School and worked as a key punch operator downtown before spending many years in the office of the American Rose Society. She loved to cook and bake and was an avid reader. She also loved to sew and continued to make clothes, quilts, banners for the church and do alterations up until the last year of her life.
