Alberta Jean Johnson (AKA Tiny), age 67, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021. She was born on March 22, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Levert Hawkins and Evelyn Hawkins-Smith. Alberta worked many years as a dental assistant. She loved fishing, especially with her dearly beloved Tom. She was a member of the Buckeye Lake Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Inc. in Hebron, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents (listed above) and sisters Toni Franklin and Tawanda Hawkins, and the love of her life, Thomas Williams.
She is survived by her sisters Delores (Chuck) Smith and Laverta (Carroll) Baker, and her brother-in-law Duane Baker. Alberta has 4 children: William (Misty) Gray of Pflugerville, TX, Anthony Hawkins of Columbus, OH, Ira Hawkins, Tawnya Johnson both of Northern Ohio. She loved her grandchildren: Mychaell, Paetynn, Braelynn Gray, Makaya, Memphis Hawkins, Destiny, Savanah Johnson and, Kaitlyn Cherry (Keith) who blessed Alberta with a great-grandbaby, Trip Cherry. She also has several nieces, nephews, and extended family members that will miss her beautiful smile.
Crematory services will be provided by Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes out of Columbus, Ohio. Please visit www.shaw-davis.com to share a special memory about Alberta or sign an online guestbook. There will be no funeral services, but a private memorial service for the family will be held, via ZOOM, Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Please contact a family member for additional information.
