Adrian Marcus Carr, 33, of Columbus, OH died Sunday September 4, 2022, on the northside of Columbus, Ohio.
Born December 10, 1988, in Franklin County, Ohio, he was the son of Tyrone Skinner and Pamela Carr. Adrian who was also known as Al Malik, was an accomplished poet, musician, and entertainer. He recorded and produced several musical scores and won spoken word contests in the Atlanta, Columbus, Cleveland, and surrounding areas. He graduated from Cleveland Heights High School. He and Nadia Benjamin joyously welcomed his only child, Azaria Mussette Carr born 8-20-2014. Adrian was known throughout the nation; he was friendly and outgoing. He traveled throughout the United States visiting family and friends in Corpus Christi, Atlanta, Carmen Norris in Youngstown, OH and other cities. He was welcomed and well-liked wherever he traveled.
Adrian is survived by his 8-year-old daughter Azaria. His mother Pamela K. Carr, Atlanta, GA. His father and stepmother Tyrone & Kimberly Skinner, Corpus Christi, Tx. Siblings Michael Carr, Syretta Carr and Lisa Brown-Scott. His aunts and uncles Robert Carr, Zera Carr, Marcus Carr, and Donna Carr. Preceded in death by Calvin C. Carr, Martha Griffin, Katherine Carr, Reva Anderson, Belinda Carr, Harriett Bailey, Jacob Edward Brown, and Egipt Antique Belize Carr.
