Suzanne Schneider was reunited with her beloved husband Robert Schneider on January 12, 2019.when she left this earth at the residential hospice in Columbus.
Born August 12, 1930, Susie dances in radiance in the arms of Bobby. He has awaited her arrival since his November 30, 2010 death, two weeks prior to their 59th anniversary.
Preceded in death also by Thomas and Geraldine Latin, her parents; Lafe and Nell Schneider, Bob’s parents; as well as their cherished daughter, Robin (2009). Also Bob’s brother Jack and namesake nephew Bobby.
Survived by children Susan (Robin’s twin), Robert Douglas and his devoted wife Elaine, and Scott Thomas Schneider. As well as Bob’s brother and wife, Dale and Betty Schneider, Jack’s widow Brenda Schneider and four nephews. And good friend Lila Faulks whose frequent calls lifted Sue’s spirits.
Sue and Bob raised their four children in a home overflowing with love. Mom and Dad lived the Golden Rule and encouraged Susan, Robin, Doug and Scott to always “walk in the other person’s shoes. “They were stellar parents.
Sue, a full time homemaker, was also a much published free-lance writer, using the journalism degree she obtained at Toledo University. She graduated summa cum laude from there where she was also homecoming queen. An only child, she possessed both brains and beauty. Poet Shel Silverstein opined “somebody has to go polish the stars,” so Mom, an immaculate housekeeper, was chosen. Paradise has gained a caring soul who lavished love on her family and friends. And cared for Dad with tender devotion throughout his last years.
Upon Sue’s passing, a friend wrote “your mother had a beautiful heart.” Indeed, she did. Deepest thanks to the earth angels who aided Susan in caring for Mom in her final years, Loren Nolan and Shelly Burns our treasured hospice team, particularly Sue Reveron and Karen Roberts. And the entire compassionate staff at the Grand in Dublin where Mom convalesced last year.
Friends may call at Shaw/Davis funeral home 4341 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio from on Thursday, January 24 from 4pm to 6pm to honor Sue.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Robin Susan Twin Foundation at Charles Schwab Charitable Giving (for ovarian cancer awareness) can be mailed to Susan, twin to Robin, Schneider, 2806 Chateau Circle, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
