Linda Joyce Lawrence, age 66, of Columbus Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on December 25th, 2016 at her residence.  Linda was born Tuesday, December 27th, 1949 to Herbert L. Underwood, Sr. and Margaret D. (Robertson) Underwood in Pensacola, Florida. Linda and family moved to Columbus, Ohio, in 1952 and had been a lifelong resident of Columbus ever since. Linda is survived by her three children, Beth Ann Poindexter of College Park, MD, John and Jeff Lawrence of Columbus, OH; grandsons Iman Lawrence of Columbus, OH and Montori Purdy of Martinsville, VA; siblings Herbert L. “Sonny” Underwood, Jr. of Mesa, AZ, Charles Underwood, Sr  and Deborah Underwood of Columbus, OH, DeWayne Underwood of Sacramento, CA; and her former husband Johnny Lawrence of Lexington, OH.  Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert & Margaret Underwood; sister, Gwendolyn Day, nephews Markcus Day and Charles “Ricky” Underwood, Jr.  Linda loved her family, and was equally loved by her family. She will sincerely be missed.
